  • 11/18/09 The second CS585 exam will be held on December 3, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. - 3:20 p.m.
    It will be held in the same locations as exam 1.
    Please go the the same room as you did for exam 1 - we have the same two rooms, and the instructions as to which room you should go are the same as for exam 1.
    If your last name begins with A-G, please go to MHP B7B.
    If your last name begins with H-Z, please go to MHP 101.
    You are allowed two 8.5 by 11 inch pieces of paper (both sides) for exam 2 (for notes, etc.).

    All grading issues regarding assignment 2 must be finalized by 11/24/09.
    If you do not have your assignment 2 paper, please come to TA's or grader's office(DEN students will be sent their graded assignment).
    - If your last name begins with A-H, your assignment 2 was graded by Harshad Sheth.
    - If your last name begins with I-M, your assignment 2 was graded by Jagpal Gill.
    - If your last name begins with N-Z, your assignment 2 was graded by Nidhi Singh.

  • 11/07/09 Rami Al-Ghanmi will not be holding office hours on Monday 11/09/2009(due to a day-long research grant meeting).
    Instead he will have office hours on Wednesday 11/11/2009 from 11:00a.m. to 1:30p.m.

  • 11/03/09 Exam 1 papers were returned after lecture on 11/03/2009.
    Students who did not get their exam can pick it up from the TAs during their office hours.
    If you have issues about exam 1, please contact the grading TA for the particular problem:
     - Seongwook Youn: Problem 1, Problem 2 d)
     - Jongwoo Lim: Problem 2 a), b), c)
     - Rami Al-Ghanmi: Problems 3, 4
    Issues regarding exam 1 must be finalized by 11/17/09.

  • 09/29/09
    Assignment 1 has been updated to remove a confusing use of the predicate "where A3>20" in the three parts of the second short problem.
    We are asking about inherited attributes, so your answer should not be affected.
    In CIOM only predicate-defined subclasses can have predicates of this sort.
    A new version of the assignment has been posted, with the three erroneous occurrences of "A3>20" removed.
